Kidnapped (Zero/Iris)It was a well-known fact in the Resistance base that Ciel was incredibly strong-willed. Despite her young age, she had bravely faced and overcome more challenges than most people would in their entire lives. That strong will came along with stubbornness, and Ciel would continuously push herself to the limit even though doing so was detrimental to her health.
This was why Iris currently had her hands full trying to keep Ciel in bed. The scientist had caught a bad case of stomach flu and was vomiting to the point where she couldn’t keep anything down, but she still insisted on trying to run her operation. It was a wonder Ciel could even move given how ill she was.
“Dr. Ciel, for the last time: You. Need. Rest,” said Iris.
“Can’t…rest…” Ciel moaned deliriously. “Got to--Urk!”
Iris grimaced as Ciel leaned over the bucket beside her bed and puked for the umpteenth time. There was almost nothing in her stomach left to expel,
The Hypocrite and the Jerk (Zero/Iris)One evening, as Iris enjoyed a small meal of E-crystals in her room, she heard a knock at her door.
“Come in,” she beckoned. The door opened, revealing the visitor. “Z-Zero? What are you doing here?”

“That’s not what I meant and you know it. The only reason you’re not working now is because your energy levels dropped so low that you nearly shut down on the spot.”
Iris winced. “You found out about that, huh…?”
“Why are you pushing yourself so hard? You’re going to run into serious problems if you keep this
ReflectionsVal's pursuit led him to the foul beast's domain. The hollowed-out cavern reeked of blood and rancid meat. The dim light he had seen as he charged through the tunnel after the monster could now be identified: torches. Rows of mysteriously lit torches lined the walls of the huge cave. At its center was a substantially large labyrinth of mirrors.
He spotted the beast entering.
He spun his silver broadsword in his hand and hurried in behind it.
His garb was a simple blue and white crusader's leather with thick armored pads and reinforcing steel studs. Lightweight and flexible, but quite effective defense against blunt blows and – in a pinch – the slashing claws of the unholy spawn of the earth. All monster-hunters wore a similar variety in Val's experience. It would serve him well in these close quarters of the mirrored maze.
Right, left, forward, left, right he turned, always catching a glimpse of the beast's tail as he wove his way through the corridors. Every so often he sp
